708 Mental Health Board
The Rock Island County 708 Mental Health Board was established in 1976 as a result of the community Mental Health Act introduced by the Illinois House Bill 708. The bill enables the county to collect and allocate revenue for mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities services for Rock Island County Citizens.

Public Defender's Office
The Office of the Public Defender provides quality legal representation for defendants in criminal, juvenile and mental health matters, who can not afford an attorney or who, pursuant to the Illinois State Constitution, are entitled to legal representation.

The Veterans Assistance Program is a financial supportive program designed to assist the eligible veterans of Rock Island County and their families with the basic necessities of rent, utilities, food, and certain medical needs not covered by other governmental, County, State or welfare program.
