Rule 9 Changes

Effective July 1, 2006, the Fourteenth Circuit has adopted certain amendments to Local Rule 9. More specifically, Rule 9 has been modified to provide for filing certain confidential information under seal, where only the parties, their attorneys, and judges will have access to the information without a Court order.

The Rule 9(b) Financial Disclosure Affidavit has been revised and updated. The disclosures on this form are the minimum disclosures required and there can be no substantive deletions from the form.

The Rule 9(d)(1)) form remains the same, but use of the old 9(d)(2) and 9(d)(3) forms is discontinued.

An updated child custody affidavit was also adopted.
